Hopkins, South Carolina - Yung Toon is a rap/hip hop/real life interpreter. He uses sound to create the emotion, the mood and the thoughts.
“Music is the most powerful, influential, most destructive, the most healing, helpful and confusing voice of the times. It can make anything happen, from your wildest fantasy to your worst nightmare.” This is how he interprets what you hear that makes it morph into something else.
Yung Toon went through a tumultuous youth full of emotions from both ends of the spectrum. From losing his brother to seeing his sister get married. When he sits back to try to make sense out of it all, he turns to music, he turns to rap to help heal.
He has many influences and those who inspire him. Quincy Jones is one of them, simply because he’s a legend and he is a good example of how to succeed. There are others like, Jay-Z, Dame Dash, Pimp C and others that helped him developed as an artist. Looking for inspiration from those who have had many accomplishments in their lives is natural. It’s the strive to be something better. Yung Toon has those ambitions. Noticed by A & R Select out of Hollywood, Ca., he will have the opportunity to showcase his talent in many different arenas.
Yung Toon is on a mission to create life long music. He let’s his life guide his music and his music guide his life.
His new CD, “Only 1” is coming out at the end of 2009.
