Elyssa writes enchanting dark ballads with evocative vocals and a storytelling slant. Her music uses classical instruments such as flute , clarinet, viola and cello to give the listener the feeling of a melancholic yet inspiring folk-noir sound; a mixture of Old Irish tunes and Italian singer-songwriter songs with a dark edge. After writing songs mainly in English she is now writing her first Italian album.
Elyssa was born in Rome, Italy and left her country at 18 to travel to Scotland. She subsequently studied in New Zealand and London and obtained a BA HONS in Oriental Philosophy and Comparative Religion. She lived in New Zealand for many years where she continued to study Art (photography and film) Performance (Acting for screen and Theater) and Electronic Music . She also practiced as a holistic hypnotherapist and lived in Ireland for a time. She has returned to Italy in may 2009 where she volunteered in bio dynamic farms and Steiner centers and has decided to stay there for a while to write her first Italian album.
The Moon Whispers' doom-folk, contemporary blend of vocals stir up haunting and romantic images. In tracks such as "All Along the Shadows" and "Break Up", we're forced to look inside the darkness of our own souls. There's a lot to choose from on this massive 15-song "Pearl of Blood", including the contemplative and almost brooding title track. All in all, a mellow batch of heartfelt songs as deep as they are dark.

I need to promote my music the right way so it gets heard worldwide. I also would like to license my current music for film. I want to make music my career so that I will be able to record future albums possibly with a record label's financial help. Ideally I would like to tour and play in different countries at various festivals to promote my music and collaborate with other musicians.
